An excellent weekend. Saturday evening we went to see the Independent Ballet of Wales performing Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Assembly Rooms in Ludlow. I have never thought of myself as a ballet fan - but it was awesome! Then we watched Vincent - as story about a Private Investigator - on the TV when we got home. Today we hung some pictures on the walls of the stairs and Rita and a student took part in the final stage of the benefice pilgrimage. I stayed at home to catch up on some jobs.
Next week we have one student still with us from Germany and one returning from Greece and one from Italy.
I have a Naval reunion down in Portsmouth on 13 November and then we are off to BESIG in Poland for the weekend of 20-22 November.
Not a bad year!

We had our friend Bill Cottle to stay for the weekend. We know Bill from Yemen days. He is deputy chief executive of UNICEF UK and it was gret to see him. Bill went for a good walk on Saturday then we all went to a Bluegrass concert in the village hall in Saturday evening. Stefan had just arrived from Berlin - his first time in the UK and within 10 minutes of arrival, he was in Lydbury North village hall drinking The Three Tuns XXX, talking English to everyone and listening to Bluegrass.
Sunday saw a walk round the water meadows and then lunch in the Six Bells in Bishop’s Castle, then Harvest Festival. Whilst we sang, Steph kindly showed Katine into her room and then well went back to the Village Hall for harvest supper. Excellent!
